Parents and Supervisors
I don't know anything about science. Will Axiom Science work for me?
Yes, absolutely! Axiom Science courses have been designed specifically with you in mind. We handle every aspect of the teaching, with comprehensive video lectures, worked examples, quizzes, and end-of-module tests.
Your online supervisor dashboard allows you to track your students’ progress, view quiz scores, contact your students, add new students, and more. Our sample lab reports and grading guidelines allow you to grade your students’ lab reports with ease.
What is the role of a supervisor?
We take care of all of the teaching, and all the quizzes are graded automatically.
Supervisors get free access to the entire course, including all teaching videos and quizzes, whenever they purchase a Homeschool or School course for one or more students. In addition, the Supervisor dashboard allows parents or teachers to track student progress, monitor quiz scores, send emails, add students, and export progress reports as CSV or PDF. This allows you to follow your students’ progress if you wish; however, there’s no need for you to do so!
If your student completes the labs, you or another responsible adult are asked to supervise the practical work for safety reasons. You’ll also need to grade the lab reports, but we give complete guidelines for this, making it a quick and easy task.
I run a homeschool co-op. Can we use Axiom Science with all our students?
Yes, you can! Axiom Science great for homeschool co-ops. You can watch videos together as a group, let students work together on labs, and assign quizzes or lab reports as homework whenever it works best for your schedule. As a supervisor, you’ll have access to tools that track each student’s progress, and you can manage multiple groups with ease.

Solo Students
I want to study on my own. Are your courses suitable for me?
I want some extra help to study for exams, or to prepare for college. Can Axiom Science help?
Yes! We offer special “Review / Test Prep” courses for High Schools that are perfect for you (“Revision” courses for IGCSE). Unlike with our regular “Student” or “Homeschool / School” courses, these courses allow you to study the material in any order you like, so you can focus your effort on those parts of the course where you need extra input.
General Questions
What does the free account include?
The free account gives you access to a sample course, including the first 9 video lessons from the full High School Chemistry course, plus 2 labs and 3 quizzes. The video lessons and labs are the actual course materials, so you can see whether Axiom Science is right for you. No credit card is required to get started.
How long does course access last?
When you purchase a course, you get 13 months of access from the date of purchase (25 months for IGCSE courses). This gives access for a full academic year, while also allowing Supervisors to get organized in advance. All videos, quizzes, and lab instructions are available throughout this period.
What subjects are currently available?
At present, we offer Chemistry courses with options for homeschools and small schools, review / test prep, and solo students. All our courses are available in both US High School and UK IGCSE versions.
A Physics course is currently under development.
Do I need a textbook or special equipment?
No textbook is required — everything you need is included in the course. Most labs use common household materials, like vinegar, baking soda, or other kitchen items. A few labs use inexpensive specialty items that can be purchased at online retailers (e.g. universal indicator paper, chromatography paper).
UK IGCSE courses include guidance for optional additional questions using an additional workbook to assist with preparation for the public iGCSE exams.
Are the labs safe for home use?
Yes. Each lab includes a video demonstration, safety guidance, and a sample lab report. Supervisors or parents should review the safety instructions and oversee students while performing experiments. All recommended household materials are safe when used as instructed.
How does the Reward Code work?
After purchasing a course, you receive a shareable Reward Code. You can give this code to friends and family, who will receive $15 off their first purchase. Each time someone uses your code, you earn a $15 Discount Coupon to use toward future orders. There is no limit on the number of times your Reward Code can be shared or redeemed, and no limit on your future savings.
What are the prerequisites for Axiom Science?
Our courses are designed for high school (or IGCSE) level students, so a good foundation in basic comprehension and note‑taking will help you get the most out of them. You’ll also be using some math along the way — mainly things like ratios, percentages, fractions, and the usual operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Don’t worry — you don’t need advanced math, you just need to be comfortable with the basics.

What IGCSE / GCSE syllabus do you support?
What do I need to get started?
You’ll only need a few basics: a notebook or binder with paper, pens and pencils, a ruler for neat diagrams, and a calculator. It’s a good idea to have the lab materials for the first few weeks ready. If you’re completing a UK IGCSE course, we also recommend getting the suggested workbook by the end of the first module.
I'm not sure whether Axiom Science will work for me. Can I try it out before I buy?
